all you’ll need is some grey and black face paint, lots of fake blood, scissors and any old clothing that you don’t mind tearing up and soaking in blood! if you don’t want to destroy any of your own clothing, head over to a thrift store and pick up a cheap outfit!

SKELETON

i love this take on the classic skeleton costume! pair a few skeleton accessories with a stylish black and white outfit and you’re good to go!  add a little white and black face paint to compete the look.

check out these skeleton tights and this skeleton shirt for inspiration!

WALTER WHITE

walter white is an absolute television icon! there are plenty of costume ideas you can get from him, but my personal favorites are the hazmat cooking coveralls and the classic “tighty whitey mr. white.” you can find coveralls and goggles on amazon for less than $20. even cheaper, you can find some quality white undies and a button down green top at walmart for less than $10. if you’re feeling really fancy, cook up or visit your local candy shop for some blue rock candy!

LOOFA

the loofa is such a cute costume and it is surprisingly easy to make as well.  all you need is a t-shirt or dress and loads of tulle from your local fabric shop.  you can sew, glue or pin the tulle onto your clothing of choice until you look like you belong in bath and body works.  add some rubber duckies as accessories and you’re good to go.  don’t forget to make your pup a matching outfit!

FRIDA KAHLO

in a world where “eyebrows on fleek” is a thing, what better costume could there be other than the original eyebrow icon, frida kahlo.  all you really need is a peasant top, long skirt, plenty of floral accessories (especially a large, vibrant flower crown) and an extra large eyebrow pencil…. basically dress up like you’re going to coachella and you’ll be fine.

JELLY FISH

this may be one of my favorite costume ideas ever!  just grab a big white umbrella, ribbons, feather boas, large bubble wrap and anything else long and flowy that you want to add. use a hot glue gun to secure all of your flowy objects around the inside perimeter of your umbrella.  you can even add some white fairy lights with a portable battery!

MINION

who wouldn’t want to dress up like a cute, fun little minion for halloween? for the ladies, just get a yellow long sleeve shirt, yellow tights and denim overall (shorts or skirt version).  for the guys, a simple yellow hoodie and jean overalls do the trick!  add a yellow beanie with some black pipe cleaners and make your own goggles using a couple pvc pipe couplings, glue, silver spray paint and a black elastic band! you can make your own “G” logo by printing an online template onto a fabric transfer page (found at your local craft store).

MILEY CYRUS

if you really want to make an entrance at all the halloween parties this year, then ‘come in like a wrecking ball’ as miley cyrus. miley has some pretty awesome costumes, so the possibilities are endless.  get some inspiration and then let your imagination run wild.  the  most important element of any miley costume is the tongue! 😛

GHOST

if you’re just way too lazy to put any effort into your costume this year, then this is the costume for you. literally just put a white sheet over your head and cut out some holes for your eyes. don’t forget to say ‘BOO!’ a lot.

and if you’re really just not into dressing up for halloween (are you even human?), then wear this shirt so it still looks like you at least tried.
